Thinking of selling

Ok so I haven't been around as an owner for very long, I bought my 3R in April, but I have loved every second of driving it. However I am now in a dilema as I may be goping to work abroad and will only be in the country for a max of 3 months per year and possibly slightly less, so the question is do I sell up or keep the beast?

Oh and as a side note I do not have a garage and nobody else in the family will drive it. I currently have it stored with Matt at Jetstream and I guess I would be looking at them to continue that if I kept it.

Ah sadly they will be in 3 1/2 week blocks every 12 1/2 weeks.

No taking the car isn't an option, well it is but the roads are awful and it would get nicked within seconds! The job is in Kosovo and Bosnia, so some lovely mountain roads but they are in such a bad state the poor car would't last 2 mins.

If you love the car, keep it and enjoy the hell out of it every three months. Think that's what I'd do if its only a short/medium term posting.

Hi Ian, Nothing last for ever and you could be back sooner than you think.

If you can afford to store the car then you can enjoy your Noble for 12 weeks per year, some of that around the track at Jetstream.

Plus it gives Jetstream time to get the car sorted for you.

Mike I am thinking the same.

I hope, however, this isn't a short term thing as it will be a major change of career direction and I plan to stay as long as the gig lasts, hopefully 10 years, as the money is tax free and very nice.

I think you should keep it... I will look after it for you and keep it nice and warm, take it on nice little drives around the country etc. It can live happily with a few fellow Nobles.

my advice - keep it for now and store it over the winter

if you decide to sell wait till the sun comes out and get a stronger price for it

No equal time?

6 weeks on 6 weeks off, is standard in my field of work.
You should renegotiate the contract and keep the car

But that would have me in the UK to long and I would lose tax free status, I can only be here for 3 months a year.

Doing trips that long you'll quickly get sick of not having a life. I go offshore/overseas about 6 months of the year and I'm ski of it. Couldn't imagine being away from home for another 3, wouldn't do it even for the tax money back.

Keep the car

Alternatively get an apartment somewhere like portugal, get on a 6/6 rotation and spend 3 months in the sun and 3 months at home tax free.
