No boost

Help! Been for a run to make the most of the sun, as you do. Now wish I hadn't as I have no boost, not even a hint. Checked the obvious stuff, leaks etc but can't find anything. Any suggestions gratefully received.

Had a similar issue the other week with mine, have you got a bov? When I looked at mine whilst blipping the throttle it was reluctant to open and close I didnt have any wd40 with me so left it as I was away from home, after another half an hour it seemed to free up itself and boost was restored, has been fine since and am yet to put any lubricant on it.

I have got a BOV and it looks like it's doing something when I blip the throttle. I'm neve sure what position it should be in when it's idling though!

If the Bov is open constantly then there is your problem. If the bov is closed you will still be able to build boost

Check all hoses to and from turbo to inter-cooler, esp driver side where the hose is near the exhaust. I lost boost at Donington once - everything looked ok but when I put my hand behind the hose, it had a 3 inch split in it. Lose vacuum, lose boost.

Couple of times last year this happened to me, turned out the circlip had fallen off the wastegate actuator arm and it had detached itself at one end. Just the front turbo was enough to leave me with an NA V6

did it still feel quick?

It was still nippy but nowhere near as good. I guess it wasn't quite the same as an NA because of the map and compression ratio etc.

Still no boost! Checked the pipes and can't find any splits. Only thing I found was rear actuator had seized; sprayed it with WD40 and it seemed OK.

Can you hear the turbo's spooling up?

It's an odd one when that happens. My 2.5 once lost both turbos for 24hrs. No loose hoses ,clips or splits, couldn't see anything wrong. When it was revved really high I could just hear the gentlist of sound being released from the turbos. For some reason I revved the bo11ocks out of it for a while (probably anger!)and all of a sudden it all came back to to life. That was 2 years ago and it's never done it since, so I can't help thinking something was stuck open/closed to stop both turbos?

It feels like it's gagging for air. Runs OK, a bit rich but once your moving it's fine. There's just nothing from the turbos. There is a slight air noise from the top of the engine when you first blip the throttle followed by a sort of delay before it revs. Changed my plugs recently so could something have not sealed correctly?

Have you been under it to look at the front turbo yet? If so, I'm out of ideas.

When you changed plugs did you make sure you seated the plenum chamber correctly ?? could be leaking around inlet ect , we have also seen a split intercooler as well lately , worth checking . Tux

When you accelerate what does the boost gauge actually do? Does it still read negative, build to positive, or rise to 0 and hover there?
