Body works and 3r lights
Discussion
Hi all
It's been a long time since I've been on the forum!!!
I'm just about to start some body mods before a complete respray over the winter and was hoping that you chaps could help me out with the following.
Front clam - I have a gt03 and was looking at fitting the 3r lights. Has any one done it? Is it an easy conversion?
Front wheel arch louvers - where is the best place to source these from? No need to be carbon as i will be painting them
All the best

I think I need to get out a bit!! Been working to much this year and haven't managed to do a lot!! So will see you at Goodwood for a catch up.

I know that the lights are stupid money for what they are!! But I'm trying to convince myself that this will be the last time I do any mods to the car!!
I don't know what's more stupid the price of the lights or me!! LOL
Has any one fitted them??

h of a job.I did look for cheaper vents, but couldnt find any.
Sadly painting the vents makes the job twice as hard, specially as my car was painted white.
3 years on they still look great. (may be due to only doing 100 miles in that time!!) .
I have also used proper hella hid units for dipped and main beam.
It is a huge improvement over the old lights, which even with better bulbs were crap.
Any questions feel free to pm me.

DRIVE YOUR CARI'm not particularly keen on the GT03 lights either but if I'm going to go to the expense of changing, I'd fancy something different to the 3R as well. Has anyone out there fitted anything different?

Im in the process of developing some all new front lights that fit under the 3R light covers
the light covers are 100 each (so 200) and they will have led side lights and indicators.
I hope you realise how difficult that is to get right Andy.

making the units themselves is easy part.. so i suspect you are referring to the led's and its about using the right ones... i'm going to use non directional ones designed specifically for automotive rather than ebay specials lol
Check out the Lumileds site, let me know which ones you choose and i'll see if I have them, Cree and Osram come a close second for Automotive LEDs, bin no's for matching are critical. was going to use something along the lines like these.... do you have anything better or similar as these look really good in the flesh both night and day.

I know these are specifically stated as not being suitable for automotive but i am told thats because they need resistors... the automotive ones were not water resistant but i havent looked that hard.
These ones are nice as they are in rubber and flexible with a square back and flat front.
