Thought you guys may add some alternative views. Had the M400 which was more for track but that has been replaced that with a S2000 (and supercharged to over 400bhp - although torque is a little disappointing). So track toy covered.
Yesterday I sold the 997TT so have cash to buy a replacement. My company car is a X5 4.0D.
It will not be for track use and predominatly used for commuting or some weekend hooliganism (when I want something more refined than the Honda which is set up for the track). I only need 2 seats.
I am not convinced about another Porsche as they are getting less special and the only possible replacement performance wise would be another TT and the cost of change does not make sense - probably another £50k for not a lot of gain.
Other options I have considered are the GTR or the R8 (V10). Budget would be max £100k but I have been in a few 2011MY GTR's and with the 2012 model now released quite a few dealers are willing to seriously discount 2011 cars to shift. For example I can get an ex-demo 2011 with less than 3k miles and all the toys for £60k and 2 years warranty which is tempting given the price/performance package - shame is it not such a good looking car.
I know some of you have other cars to play with so what are your views - should I be considering other cars (M5?).
Thanks

Have thought that one through many a time, and the more I look the harder it is.
If you like something a little more exclusive the the Gran cabrio like this one has a great look and sound.

Great looking but still lacking that special Q, The R8 is a great looking car but also lacks that , not sure what the word is rarity maybe?
And you know even after all the cars I can think of up 100k I would still rather be in my beast playing with the happy button, bliss!!

GTR - Chav
R8 - becoming rich chav
Maserati - Pipe and slippers
You might be able to cut a deal on a Ferrari 430 scud at around your budget, and straight 430's are easily under that. Aston V12's are cool too, but not really a hooning car.
And there's always that Superformance Shelby Daytona Coupe for £60k that's been kicking around for a while. They are fast. It'll probably kill you but fast all the same

R8 - Possibly becoming a tiny bit Chav in base form, and feels strangely heavy, doesn't feel special at all.A V10 vert is nice though.
Maserati Pipe and slippers?? Have you heard a 4.7S,a contender for the best noise on the road at the mo'!
65 grand will get a lovely 430 if that's your thang, but Astons are getting more Chavvy by the month! The wheels on V12 Vantage/DBS look like they're straight off a Halfords shelf.
As for that Shelby, then yes, very yes.Had a chat with the owner around a year ago in Chelmsford when he was first putting it up for sale, before it went to Paul Stephens. One was bloody quick at the Dunton Little Havens day in 2010 as well.
As you might have gathered, I'm snowed in/wife and kids asleep/bored/so thought I'd provoke some discussion!
