Just a link to wet your appetites for what should be a fantastic day out.

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Andrew if you're still up for it I would be most grateful. We're after static and track cars if you've got any questions just email me.

Thanks
Simon

PS Hopefully it won't be deleted in anger this time - I've no idea who I managed to upset that badly.

Should be able to make it.
Is there anything in particular you'd like me to volunteer for?

Hi Andrew, if you would be happy giving paid passenger rides around Goodwood that would be a great help. Basically a 15 minute slot every hour, 3 slots AM, 3 slots PM. We charge punters for rides in your car and you get to drive the track for free. Avoiding spinning and going backwards would be a help though!! Lol. wink

If I can get enough of you guys together I would also like a Noble owners club gathering on a pitch in the car park on the right as you go in? We are hoping to attract several car clubs to fill this entire arena so again please spread the word.

Cheers

Simon

Sounds great - count me in for offering passenger rides (have done that before at a SICL event and it was very enjoyable).

I'm not sure I can think of a better way to spend a bank holiday in June.

Will you add me to the list or do I need to do that?

Andrew

Simon, great initiative. Am happy to offer passenger rides (Noble or Porsche) - seems like less stress than the trackday option wink

Rob,
Thanks. If you're happy I'll add you to the list as a definite attendee and we can decide which car nearer the time if that's ok?

Thanks

Let me get mine back first. And I will see. I'm abut wary of good wood as no run off areas and would be my first track day.

I might be able to help on this as well, but wont know for a week or so.

I'm assuming usual track day insurance will cover us with passengers etc ?

Put me down as a "probable maybe" !

Passengers sign the same indemnity form that drivers do;

10. Acceptance of Risk: I accept that motor sport may involve the risk of injury or death and I agree to take part at my own risk. Before taking part in the event I will read and be bound by and comply with any General Regulations, supplemental and final instructions issued by the regulatory bodies (if applicable), the event organisers and the Circuit Owners.

Just to clarify I am trying to get you guys to pay for the track day places as we are pretty full for the paying passenger rides. (No shock there).

That does not preclude you from taking passngers for us if you have paid for the day but we thought it would be a little cheeky to ask you to do that for us.

It's a very difficlut situation as we need the track, to be able to run the family event in the summer but with that comes a very hefty layout, over £6000, just for track hire and insurance.

We have so far, only sold 2 track places and we are struggling to find any of the track day organisations to help sell the tickets. We have undercut the standard Goodwood prices in attempt to bring in custom but overall, thankfully, it's still early days.

Thanks Dom, I'll sort you out with some more concrete info. Can you PM me with anything in poarticular that you would like to do?

So we live in hope and any offers of help are greatly appreciated. We are also trawling for volunteers to help with gate staff, car parking, general directions to public, etc.

Thanks as always

Simon

Simon,

Email sent. Keen to take a (paid) track place (assuming I can clear date with Boss), and to help out when not on track.
