Hi All,

First post in the Noble area! Looking for my first Noble, and my hunt is on for a 3R! Not looking for a car with serious mods (don't flame me!), ideally a pretty standard example with a good history and sensible miles. Keeping an eye on the classifieds and have posted a wanted ad, but if anybody knows of a decent example, be sure to throw it my way!

In the mean time, a quick hello and i'm sure I will be on here soon enough asking away...

Having a quick look on classifieds, there is lots of choice. My pick of the bunch would be the Bother/Sister to my car, mine has been faultless and the build very good:

Can't belive your selling Bob, have seen this car in the flesh and its in very good condition.

You couldnt go to far wrong with Rob, AMG Merc either:

Remember, some "upgrades" are a necessity rather than a luxury.

You'll need to budget a few thou for when you realise there are some mods that will make a good drive into an exceptional drive.
Also chassis rot is now rearing its ugly head, get a really good look at the rear sub frame especially near the exhaust box.

Key mods/options are:

Fuel pump wiring.
Rear hub nut replacement (Boxster)
LSD
TDS
Decent brake pads (Padgid or similar)

Desirable mods:

M400 gear linkage (a game changer compared to standard)
M400 suspension / after market (too soft for track style driving)
Free flow exhaust (+ re-map) Standard box brackets are made of cheese.

Other stuff:

Intercooler/chargecooler
Fluffy dice
AA relay cover (important)
If you are a driving god, engine upgrade (in reality few people will test the limits of a standard car).

Take your time buying, it will pay dividends later on.

Hi Paul, is there anything currently in the PH classified ads of interest? I'd say there's a fair cross-section of Nobles to choose from - so if not then what constitutes a "decent example" for you?

Sorry for the delay in posting back. A few things popped up that detracted from my search for a car! Still looking if anybody is thinking of selling! Thank you to everybody that has helped me on the Noble learning curve so far. If anybody's tempted to sell, get in touch! In the mean time, the search continues!

Thanks Tux biggrin Actually, glad you still have the link as R77 isn't advertised right now - I did have a couple of offers but decided to wait until spring and see whether our Nobs will go the way of Sagaris prices!
