Colour of my injectors ...

Hi guys,

The search is not working right now otherwise i'd do that.

I've got a 03 3l GTO3 not the R - do you know what colours my injectors are going to be black or green?

Some early GTO-3s had black injectors. I believe there were even some with thick black bodies and lime green in parts.

When you say early gto 3's - do you mean sometime in '02 or are all gto 3's built in '03?

Last three digits are the build number - close to 100 for early 3's. I don't clearly remember when the injectors changed over from black to green - late '03, if memory serves. I don't think any 3's were made in 02?

I had a 52 plate gto3 build number 098, must be one of the first gto3's I think? I'm sue daisy will correct me shortly if I'm wrong.

If yes, then my number is 121.

Do you think i've still got the black injectors then rather than green?

I'm not near the car today to have a look and would like to know today.

I've got a set of std green injectors spare if anyone wants them ?

2 Stupid questions :

1) can you easily see them ? Or do you have to remove something ?

2) What is the difference between green & black ? (besides color off course)

If you remove the plastic inlet manifold you will see the injectors. Very easy to unplug and change over. My standard 400 ones were green and new ones are black.

Think colour normally helps to indicate the flow capacity but can't remember what the specific numbers are for the different colours.
