Swirl pot where ?
I have a place to put it in the side pod, i can have the filter and lifter pump under the tank and the Bosch o44 in the side pod with the swirl pot, it all fits and the piping is worked out.Is it just a space issue why people do not generally fit them then?

So why are they not often being fitted to Nobles?
I have got a 2ltr swirl pot to fit which has a slight restriction on the return, so i think it should create a bit of pressure that helps the bosch 044 on low fuel...the problem is that even with the pump running quiet with good unrestricted feed it still gets a little noisy with low fuel.
This would say to me that it really needs feed pressure, so i thought a 0.5bar swirl pot would do the trick with a low pressure/high volume lifter pump, this way i always get feed pressure even with low fuel.
Although i dont really have any choice.. as luck has it the side pod seems to be the perfect location as i was initially worried about the fuel getting heated due to repeatedly passing through the 044 and getting returned to the small 2ltr swirl pot, so the pot will get air cooled from the side pod, it should keep the fuel nice and cool.
The race track runs clockwise and although it has quite a few left handers, the majority of turns are right handers in order to come back full loop...my fuel tank outlet is on the drivers side which unfortunately is the wrong side to suit the track, i know the trick is to not run on low fuel but for time attack, removing shifting fuel weight can offer a good performance advantage as well as ensuring a safe and constant fuel delivery.
The standard tank needs to run a minium of 30 litres which is a lot of useless weight to be carrying around.
With my tapered tank linked to a swirl pot i'm pretty sure i can run safely with as little as 5 litres as i have read the lifter pumps are not too bothered by pulling air every now and then.
