Are the connectors on the fuel filter 1/4 NPT?

What is the size of the push on side of the connectors on the fuel filter i.e. 13mm or 15mm? or please advise on the internal diameter of the feed pipes to the fuel filter, pump and tank..

I.e the serated inlet on the swirl pot measures 10mm over the widest point, the hole is only 6mm, so when ordering fittings, if it states it is a 10mm fitting does this relate to the internal diameter of the pipe that would fit onto it?

Thanks

Chris

If you're going to this much trouble revamping your fuel system, why not eliminate all push-on connections, and go to proper fittings (like AN or JIC fittings) everywhere?

BTW, don't know if this will help, but tubing is usually sized by OD, and hoses are sized by ID, so a 10mm hose will fit on a 10mm tube...

Thanks for the info Rob.

Thanks also for the advice Jim but i have already bought the swirl pot and everything is push on, also the connection to the tank is push on, the connectors to the filter are push on etc..smile...and its the cheaper option and easier for the to cut and fit hoses wink

Sorry Rob just to confirm the overall diameter of the fitting is 15mm?..i.e to suit 15mm ID fuel hose?
The fittings on the lifter pump are 10mm and i can not seem to find any 15mm to 10mm connectors.

Tank outlet (standard) and alloy U bend and filter inlet are all 15mm OD. Am replacing the hose with some from Earls at 15mm ID (fecking tight fit!!). Can see that 15mm to 10mm might be problematical, have seen 15 to 12 but they aren't very neat.

Hmmm...15mm..i could not find any fittings so i had to order 13mm, will they be ok ? :/ ..i also remember the hose was a really tight fit onto the filter fittings..but not so much on the tank or the pump, i might see if i can change the filter unions down to 1/4 NPT with 13mm push on..but then again fuel hose only comes in 10mm bore, 12mm bore or 15mm bore, so i am really confused as to how these 13mm fittings come into it?
Also i was on demon tweaks looking for 90deg unions so that i can utilize space better and they only had 10mm, 13mm or 16mm, so knowing how tight the hose was on 15mm i thought 13mm was the better option.
Also i measured the outlet on the switl pot and that is 13mm so again not sure why they put this size when hoses only come in 12 or 15 bore.

Nope sorry i can get 13mm hose...sorted, all i need is a piece of 15mm hose from the tank to the fuel filter then everything else can be 13mm to the swirl pot and the 044..
