Anyone using redex or similar ?
I'm thinking cleanliness and protection here, not performance enhancers.
Does it work or is it a con ?!

Redex, now does that come in bottles or pints - mine's a XXXX?! LOL

Seriously though, its a Ford (sorry!) suggest you use Optimax, if you like, but just DRIVE IT!

Based on the independent tests I have seen (notably evo magazine a couple of years back), long-term use of Optimax is one of the best things you can do to your engine internals, and would eliminate the need for Redex and the like.

Ageed but, AFAIK, ALL manufacturers use detergents now. What does the handbook say about 95 vs 98 ?

Hand book says 97, factory say 95 is fine, I choose to use BP 97 after reading loads of stuff on scoobynet about people getting det with Optimax.

You can't have too many lights and gauges. That's why I asked a long time ago about what ECU the 3R's have and what you can get out of the 9 way d connector. I believe it's disabled
