Pro Alloy header pressure cap

Anybdy else had problems with this pressure cap?
...it seems to be releasing pressure but can not see any reason for it except it is either faulty or is too weak...in turn its letting temps creep up and spraying coolant all over my engine bay

Hi Chris I've had no issues but Grant and Steve have so they run a high pressure cap from Demon Tweeks . Tux

cheers Si...is it ok if i just block off the pressure release hole in the meantime?..will that stop it from losing pressure or would it still escape frm the cap?

My header tank cap is the stock pro alloy one... not had issues yet but as Tux says others have, no idea why???

I had this with my other alloy header tank..it was the taper on the neck where you twist the cap on it was not pulling the cap down enough to compress the spring...i put a stronger cap that time also..but as a temp measure i found that putting a washer inside the neck also stopped the pressure leak..but it was a much smaller cap..i dont have a washer big enough to test it this time.... i will try blocking the pressure release hole as a temp measure...

Ah so now I know what the strange noise is that I get when she is hot, it's pressure leaking from the cap,
What pressure rating should I use? 1.1 1.3 1-5 bar? and are they standard size?

Guys my proalloy cap gave way when mapping the other night, I also upgraded to the 21-25psi cap like steve and grant. It's £20 from burton power. Has a pressure release lever for bleeding pressure off when hot for a quick removal.

Shaun also now has one.

Steve also helped me out with the bubbling water noise from the turbos after you stop, i had both returns going to the anodized T block below the header..too much combined heat so close to the header made the bubbling noise quite bad...

so after Steve told me this i started to think about it a bit more.. the return from the front turbo is short...so i joined this into the cross over block nearer the fuel tank,,,which means it has to merge with a lot more water before returning.....the return from the rear turbo is a longer pipe so this one i returned to the T block near the regulator...after doing this the bubbling noise was eliminated and in place you can just hear the water squirting back into the header...Thanks for the advice again Steve..
