Hi Guy’s, I’m looking to replace the seats in My Noble M12.

I get terrible backache after driving for a couple of hours.

There is so much choice and the prices vary so much.

Those of you that have changed your seats what make and model did you fit?

I have a budget of around £800 for two.

Watch the seat width - I was looking at a pair of CF Suzuka Pros, but I reckon they're too wide at the shoulders. Racer Pros should be OK?

The M12 seats are shaped at the bottom to fit between the sliders/seat rails. Many aftermarket seats are flat on the bottom, so only fit on top of the sliders/seat rails, which means that they'll sit much higher in the car. If they don't hurt your back, probably M400 seats are your best bet - they bolt right in and keep your seating position as low as the M12 seats.

You might also want to try changing the tilt of the seat, or having the seat padding recontoured to fit you better.

I spoke to Jetstream about this. They may have something in the pipeline to solve this issue.

I've tried the M400 seats are they are superb compared to the 3Rs. They also have a removal seat pad to give more room when wearing a helmet.

Whilst the M400 seat does fit it's bloomin tight I believe.

FWIW I have done 8 hours in 1 day in M400 seats with no ill effects. Not all that long, I realize, but long enough to generate a back ache if the shape was wrong. I like them!

Thanks for the advice guy’s.

I do like M400 seats and I find them comfortable, I’ve been looking for a pair a couple of months now with no luck.

So if anyone as a set of M400 seats for sale please PM me.

Matt, how's the search for a seat replacement coming along ? Something along the lines of the M400 design would be perfect.

Matt, how much to re trim original seats to M400 spec? I did get a quote a few months ago from trim man so interested to know your charge.

Once car is sorted I may book it in with you for a full check over so this may be the best time to get it done.
