Aparently today at Brands hatch in the Mid-Engined Sports Car Series - anyone know the results? Was it a standard road car? Factory?

Lee came fifth overall, but sat in second place for most of the race. A very pleasing result for a near-enough stock M400 road car driven by someone who hadn't raced for 16 years!

What's he been doing with the air intakes and look above the rear wheels, looks like there are extra air vents there as well.
Its described as "near" road going. Has he moved the intercooler?

Notice it's got a splitter as well? Doesn't go all around the front and looks much sharper than on my 3R.

Talking to Lee at the factory on Wednesday, and his next outing is at Pembrey on the 22nd August.

I'm planning on visiting some friends in Cardiff that weekend, then popping along to support the "official factory team" If anyone else fancies a Sunday out, then send me an email and we'll organise a Noble corner of the track.

Saw the race car when I was at the factory - no major changes over the standard M400 (as it was Lee's development car) - but Lee reckoned the Corsa's are better than the Yokos the series forces his car to wear. Having tried mine at Brands I now understand why Lee could run second - the car is fantastic (see other post)...

Scott.

Which Yoko's do they make that vehicle use? The A048R's?

Lee came second at Pembury this weekend. The race car has, as I suspected, the intercoolers in the wheel arches a la M14 style.

So it has two intercoolers, one each side?

Looks like modified side pods to me.

Looks like I'm right about the sharp splitter as well. I'm convinced that the reason the standard 3R one makes no difference is it's too thick. Maybe for road safety rubbish?

So the intercoolers are in the new side pods and the hole above the rear wheels reduces the high pressure area you normally get above the wheel while pulling air through the intercooler if you see what I mean.

I assume the hole could be replaced with vents like on the TVR sagaris? Are there slats above the front wheels on the race car? (factory?)

In fact I now know from a driver in the race that Lee lead the whole race but was overtaken on the last corner of the last lap.

Noble M400 racing for 2 races, Motorsport Elise racing for 6 odd years.

Not bad I'd say

Precisely, work out the points per race raced and Lee is second after only two races. Bloody good I'd say.
