Exhaust manifolds - current best options?
Discussion
Yea hence i went for 3-2-1 option. I do believe that Criss makes all Nobles Manifolds anyway, hence i got a set of 1 off ones because he under contract etc to them so coudnt buy normal set of him, licence B/S ETC ETC

Inconel not far off the price for the 321 grade Alunox ones, and I experienced a number of issues with those.

I went all in and got the noble inconal ones... best out there at the moment apparently and priced accordingly at around 1600 lol.
So they are making a normal profit margin on that??Clearly they have gone mad given Audi making 2 off's and shipping for the UR is 1/10 of the price, and there are now less than 1/3rd of them on the road than M12s.
Still, guess they have to get some spondollies from somewhere, I guess it's not therefore new cars and they are just hammering us original owners. Thank god mine isn't blowing.

Justin, are you saying you can get a exhaust manifold made from inconei( spelling) for the ur for £80???????? ( assuming it has one rather than 2 exhaust manifolds)Clearly they have gone mad given Audi making 2 off's and shipping for the UR is 1/10 of the price, and there are now less than 1/3rd of them on the road than M12s.

A good point that is for two. Last bill I recall was around 120+ VAT for the steel one, so I assume 160 for the special stuff is not unrealistic? Makes it 1/5th the price.Fitting costs to get it right so they don't crack on the Ur is a whole different ball game though.

Absolutely no way you could get inconel for just a £40 premium over a standard exhaust. Fitting costs to get it right so they don't crack on the Ur is a whole different ball game though.
1. It's expensive material.
2. It's an absolute b
d to work with.joust said:
you think expensive parts are a good thing? If M12s just become more and more expensive to service it's going to affect residuals which isn't good for anyone.
Of course not, but that's not what I was referring to.I'm still a relative newbie
, but even I am familiar with your penchant for slagging the factory and the M600 off at each and every opportunity!joust said:

Incidentally the stainless ones from noble are almost identical price to other aftermarket providers as well.
if audi do make inconal ones for 160 they will be cheap crap seeing as the material alone will cost a lot more than that.
