Can anybody tell me where the starter is and how to remove .Have looked at earlier threads but there does not seem to be much about it. I see that the earlier threads say part No M12 ELE05 for £217 .(2011 prices) Is this a Ford part number . Any help would be greatly apprciated . (Is this a job for a stealer)

it is not far from the fuel tank if i remember right!!

Open the rear clam and look - if you can't spot the starter motor then its probably a job for the garage!

You have the Noble part number - I don't think you can get the same part from Ford due to solenoid throw. Detail on fitting here:

Thanks for the feedback Dom Can I still get the bits from Nobleparts .I see from threads in January 2011 that somebody else was attempting it but did not go on to say if successful Gavin

That was me that attempted it. I'm normally reasonably handy with tools but I gave up and took it to a local guy who looks after Porsches.

It's easy to see where the starter is, but to get a socket in there is tough even with all manner of extensions.

Good luck, and be careful of your knuckles !

Nobleparts is another forum, not a supplier. Jetstream at Bruntingthorpe or the South West Lotus Centre should be able to provide, alternatively give the factory a call.
