Tips on buying process?

I am seeking advice on buying a Noble m12.
As I am new to the Noble, my priority to to seek professional advice in purchasing a vehicle.
The Noble is clearly a specialist vehicle with certain features that need to be checked out. (chassis rust, ecu upgrades, etc.)

The vehicle will either be sourced privately or via a dealership.
From past experience, motor dealers tend to inflate the price and overlook the reality of the condition of the vehicle.
So I would prefer a specialist dealer or private owner.

I am seeking professional help in the purchase
Has anyone used or recommend using the AA to give an appraisal on the vehicle.

Which professional mechanics are worth speaking to?
Anyone used any of these guys? Are they recommended?

Talk to the owner and ask simple questions like has it been used in all weathers, is the Chasis and four corners covered in crap and rust!


If the answer is yes then you are in for alot of work and cost!

It's easy to see a good car as everything is exposed

Then it's down recent service history and spend

Try to find a low miles garged dry used car, they are about. I found a two owner 12000 mile 3R that had been serviced every year and garaged.

I wouldn't recommend getting the AA to check over any specialist vehicle.

Take it to a reputable specialist (e.g. Jetstream as you mentioned) and get them to check it over.

There are several Noble specialist dealers (e.g. Kerridges, Mole Valley) that are worth a visit.

I would go with the 1st choice.

The 2nd one, not so much.

I wouldn't spend money with AA - better using a specialist. Jetstream are very good but not sure if they do appraisals. Not sure I'd use Plans.

The AA wont do it, the noble is on their list of cars they will not look at!
