On the TV show Fifth Gear Jason Plato set a lap record of 2:22.14 for a production car on the new Arena layout in a Noble M600 .

Will a 600 BHP M400 be quicker?

Interesting, £235,000 car with one of the Worlds top tin top drivers,my best of the day was 2.24 but with about 5 second traffic delay which I'm sure Mr Plato would not have had!

Looks like the predictive data says we were just sub 2.20 on the day which is pleasing for a little old 2.0 Honda k20

Will be interesting to hear views on this?

My view is that yours is a track car on slicks with no aircon, sat nav etc, and requires a trailer to get it there, I think we all can work out that cars of this ilk will be quicker than a road car.
I am sure a £100k radical/juno/etc will be quicker round a track than a £1m veyron, does it make it better?
I for one would love a track only car, however, I cant afford the extra cost of the car, trailer, space to store, car suitable to tow it.
So the Noble is a better option for me. Bit of a jack of all trades.
Plus If I had a track only car, it would seem such a waste just using it on track days, I would want to go racing.

Just my thoughts.
Plus I also think you are trying to wind people up , just dont understand why. smile

I'm lucky to own both which I appreciate!

But I've also worked hard to be in that position!

So let's now just be straight, it was me that got totally lambasted and shot down for improving my Noble, yes Noble!

I explained that I was happy with road only and 420ish as I had a track car. I got shot down for that

I explained that I had both cars for the cost of a big hp Noble

I got told I would get destroyed on track by a big bhp Noble in my poor little Juno, Wrong!

I've explained till I'm blue in the face and the video will show how much slower the Noble is on track even though it costs a fortune more to buy and run and is hard to maintain and has double the HP and is more Race GT than road car, I could SVA the Juno and put plates on it!

You know what I ain't been out to wind anyone up but with stoopid comments like yours from I no longer give a st

The question was can a well modified M400 beat tbe M600 which is a serious and interesting question

If your wound up good and tough

If you can't afford both, tough as well, work harder like me!

Also we saw how the inter cooler works on track and tbe simple fact is its getting too hot compared to ours. If you don't like that tuff as well but it's fact!

That's not Shaun's fault he just drives the car but sorry we have developed something that works better, tough. Use it or moan about it and suffer BHP loss!

Looks like there a lot of tuff things for you to consider

Hang on, you asked for my view. I gave it. No slagging you off, no mention about your noble, juno or you.
Just that in MY view its comparing apple with pears.
Yet you come back with all that, none of which I have ever questioned.
As for me working harder so I can "afford" what you have....I would rather not thanks.

I have learned that when you ask for views, I shall keep my mouth shut, as all I get in return is personal insults...

Life is just too short...
