Check hvac relay D (top right) & fuses 11 & 12 (also top right) also could be the rotary switch, try turning it both ways quickly a few times while pushing & pulling at the same time.

Thanks for the support guys , quick call to Jetstream and I traced the problem to a faulty relay !!!! Getting a replacement is proving far from easy though !!!!

At risk of me repeating myself yet again, what with this and Joust thread about being stuck, the sheer wealth of knowledge on this forum( and speed of useful replies) never ceases to amaze me.

Thanks for the offer Martin , hopefully 2 will arrive friday !!! if not i will be on the phone biggrin

Hi Graham , relay D, top row ,far right , but they are special relays so not easy to get hold off !!

be aware the std 5 pin relay with 87A on it will not work correctly , you should have 2 pin 87 on it , which is a dual power output relay .

Mine went while i was on the way home from Jetstream. Luckily i was only at the Jet station so went back. Turns out it was also a faulty relay, but not a Bosch item. Dave put a new bosch one in and its been fine ever since

Hi all,

With regards to the above my Aircon light won't come on when I depress the switch, I have pulled the d relay and it is a Bosch 5 pin with 12V 30A 0 332 019 150. Written on it .

It is the same as the other 4relays on the top row, is this correct ?

I have the centre Console out at the moment to put new one in and would like to count the switch out as the problem before refitting.

Are there any other checks I can do to check? I have multimeter but am hopeless with the electrics and don't know how to check the switch wiring frown

Many thanks in advance

Hi again,

Thanks for the advice Tuxman tried swapping the relay and still no yellow light.

Does anyone know if there are any other reasons why it would not light other than the relay or the switch?

Cheers
Mark

When mine does it, it's just the two spade connectors that go on the switch which is in the front by the blower assembly. They corode

A bit of a guess here however, I think if you lose gas from the AC system there is an over/under pressure sensor in the system which stop the compressor engaging (do you get a clunk from the compressor when you turn the AC ON ? if not I reckon loss of gas/oil) and my guess is it will not complete the light/indicator circuit. Thats how most AC systems work.

You can check this by measuring the pressure at the high pressure port or shorting the trinary switch(briefly) to check that the compressor engages.
