On car disc skimming

Had a problem where the whole car would shake when high speed braking.
Had the discs skimmed today on a garages on car lathe and glad to say its gone. Not as cheap as I thought it was going to be as I really don't understand why garages don't tell you prices arnt with vat.
Was £192 in total. Tis sweet as a nut now though. Angelsey a week today

For all 4 skimmed on the car?

Was quoted £140 to skim all 4 off the car from somewhere else so when they quoted £160 on the car I thought it was a good price. Then they added vat haha.

Oh well, lesson learned
