VIDEO of Noble crash due to brake failure

here are a few clips together showing the build up to the crash from 3 cameras, 2 on my car and 1 on Shauns. you can see how me crap myself when i realise there are no brakes at all.
Clearly see the comedy smoke from my tyres rubbing at the rear on the longer corners. They weren't catching much but gave a lot of smoke! will sort that out when i get the car back. I turned the damping up at the rear, to try and compensate for the soft srpings, before this session which was a mistake. the car was very nervous on the bumps, easy to lock up wheels and break grip.
I will get the whole session with Shaun and I posted soon. Need to get the cameras edited together.

Worst nightmare, James. Glad to see and hear that nobody was hurt.
You chose a good turn to lose yur brakes. No barriers or cars to hit. Good thing Shawn didn't turn in on you. Did he see you coming in his rear view mirror?
The video inside your car reminds me of a story. A friend was at the track with his then new 1968 Camero Z28. He went off track and cleared a path into a farmer's field. The farmer dropped by to see what had happened and repeated over again to my friend: "Wow dat's some corn cutter you got."
Was that corn flying up all over your Noble, James?

Bill, I saw James's position in wing mirror & only because I have seen this happen before at Tower twice antisipated the outcome luckily for us both perhaps, because as well I tend to turn in late at Tower that sets up nicely for Jim Clark Esses then Sunny in & Sunny out, split second both cars would have been taken out & totalled.You chose a good turn to lose yur brakes. If it would have been later in the morning when fully on it with no doubt track battle it would have been catastrophic no question end of Pit straight or at Sunny In, dread to think of the consequences.
James though is a truly superb driver & is awesomely fast too, his reaction has to be commended by me & hope his dreadfull luck with his car has now ended. Really look forward to attending Croft again in August & really hope James will be there.
Just seconds after the event James & his friend were fine, then inspected the car, James to his credit wasn't even flustered, pissed off, just near laughed it off to my dismay, I was more concerned. Just goes to show what a great lad he is. He'll be back better than ever...
before the off it was some of the best noble driving footage i have seen, straight into my favourites, even the ex-wife was interested watching it..
i always say if your going to crash then do it in style, that was good viewing i am sure it is going to get some good hits :-)
i'm guessing cooked brakes and a nice loaf of bread.

interesting, at the weekend i was at a very short oval circut where the brake pedel went halfway mushy then the next time youd go for it straight to the flor it would go. however you hadnt done alot of hard stops before that corner.
That's classic brake fade through overheating. I'd get your brake fluid changed if I was you mate.I certainly want to find what caused the failure more than anyone and I'll not be shy about sharing it on here. I don't think it was brake fade. After the car was recovered it still had no brakes. Should have an answer by the end of this week.

I can't wait to put the full footage of Shaun and I playing around for a few Laps leading up to the clip already on, was great fun.i always say if your going to crash then do it in style, that was good viewing i am sure it is going to get some good hits :-)
