Reactions have so far been very favourable, better than the Nob I think. The Nob gets lots of looks and turns heads but the AM gets even more. And when I filled it up, I was getting smiles and nods from people at the petrol station.

Those were probably nods of distain - maybe they knew you once opwned the ultimate sports car and think you are crazy for letting it go for an alloy tub

It's not as fast as the Nob, but then it never will be. 380bhp but it weighs considerably more than a Nob. I think it's deceptive when it comes to speed. 0-60 is supposed to be 5 seconds, but with no turbo, you get a different power delivery. If you get it full whack it does shift, but you almost have to look at the speedo to see what you are doing, as opposed to the Nob, when you know what you are doing.
Also, on the motorway at 70, it feels like maybe 50. In the Nob it feels like 100.
I wanted something different. My other option was Nissan GT-R. They are bonkers fast and they look good, but it's a big, mean, saloon.
Now I have to go and work out what all the buttons do !

I had a 4.3 Vantage and absolutely hated it in the end.
It wasn't at all reliable and bits regularly needed fixing.
I especially loved the windscreen wipers that stayed on when the ignition was off. It had it's fair share of leaks that destroyed a fuse box and soaked the passenger carpet. Not to mention it was bloomin slow. My handbrake rubbed on the drivers seat which left a mess on the leather. The dealer said it wasn't covered under warranty and would cost at least £1000 to fix.
I took mine to Aston Martin Works in Newport Pagnell and they added at least 2 '00' to every bill for even the most minor of things. I remember paying just shy of £400 for 1 tyre after a puncture.
The funny thing is whilst all the work was being done on the Aston I drove around in my TVR which never let me down once.
I sincerly hope you have a better experience as they sound great and definately look the part.
