Air-brake anyone?

Digging around the US forum I found this bad boy... It's a pneumatically operated air-brake.

I didn't think you could get a Noble to look like it's crashed into Halfords shop window, but the yanks have managed it.....

Under heavy braking, a racecar's C of G moves significantly forward.
However in this instance the pneumatic rams could barely push the skin off a rice pudding and they are mounted so as to give the
airbrake serious leverage
against them.
If they actually did anything to create effective braking drag, the whole assembly would be torn out of the car by the huge forces involved.

Tux and i talked abourt making an active rear wing for the noble some time ago
it can be done with a 12v linear actuator mated to the rear wing with a hinge - quite easy to do actually
the wing angle can be set from a knob in the car
i also suggested a processor to read road speed and gforces to allow the wing to be active
it requires some r&d to get it to work and would allow you to run less drag / more downforce from inside the car

so how much downforce do you think the rear wing can produce? does it make 100kgs at 100mph? if so what does it make at 150mph or 180mph? double?
if it is making 100-200kgs then Id like to see someone lie on the rear spoiler without it damaging the rear clip
I pick the clip up by the rear spoiler to move it around and people think I am mad... and yet it weighs less than 45kgs!!!
