Just spent the weekend at Anglesey as my mate runs a car in the time attack series and got back last night.
When we got back me and the lad I drove down with went to the pub for a quiet one to finish the weekend.
Parked the Nob outside then had our pint. On walking back to the car the smokers were looking at it and as I opened the door one of them shouted 'nice mr2'. I obviously laughed, then they laughed and I laughed some more.
So I got in and the lad came to the door and said, 'no mate seriously though, you've done a lot to it. I'm a mechanic at BMW and know about cars' I just stared at him and then his phone rang and he answered it and walked off.
Its a standard 3R?!

In mine over the weekend, pulled up to lights and car next to me gives me the universally recognised hand gesture for "wind your window down". He then proceeds to tell me he is disgusted by "my kind", and that he knows Daddy bought the car for me and I should be ashamed to be living on a trust-fund. There are some crazies out there. confusedconfusedconfused

I've had that. The guy that said it was my dads actually turned out to have the same job as me. Which of us decided not to piss our wages up a wall smile

And these are the sort of "technicians" that when you walk into the lounge chaired service dept at a BMW dealership have been working on your nice M3/M5/M6 etc for the very reasonable sum of £150 per hour.
