hi i need to buy my self a new toy and im thinking of a m12, but i dont know a lot about them. are they reliable what are they like to get parts for. its not going tobe a daily car but it will get used a lot when im in the country so i dont want to spend more time working on it than driving it.
Good choice for a toy.
The last cars to be made were in 2005 so they are all at least 7 years old. Most a lot older. So things will need replacing if not already done.
I run mine as an occasional toy but it has needed regular attention.
Like any car of this type I would say your best to get the one you fancy looked over by a specialist.
Once you get sucked into the "upgrade" scene the sky is the limit so be aware they are highly addictive. I must have spent close to £15K on mine in the last 2 years. A fraction compared to some.
There are a good number of specialists out there and a few dealers who will look after your car. I would recommend Jetstream.
Parts don't seem to be too much of a problem and there are a good number of fine chaps on here making their own bits and pieces. Some even share their hard work with the rest of us
