Noble light help please

Hi, I would be grateful if someone could offer advice.
My middle light (front lights) isn't working and it should be a simple case of changing the bulb. Only problem is on this Noble the bulb is different to the standard one and the unit is wired to a high intensity discharge connector which I've not come across before. The bulb sparked and briefly went on when I played around with the wiring which brings me to believe it could be the bulb, the charger or the wiring. My question is where can I get a replacement for the discharge ballast and the bulb. I know I should try and unseal the other light unit and take the bulb out etc and test it on the faulty side but it's just a major pain in the neck. I would just ask Noble but other than me taking this stuff round to a store I thought it best to ask here as with the other Nobles it was an easy fix.

I believe the HID upgrades are fairly common (I make do with decent bulbs). The supplier should be able to provide you with a replacement ballast?

Thanks for the reply. Other than going online and trying to find the ballast and the bulb can anyone please recommend a supplier that would sell this as I can't see any code for this part which makes it difficult to order online.
The ballast seems easier as there is information on the part but not for the bulb not unless there is a specific name for the bulb description.

That is identical to the kit I recently bought, would you like me to dig out the details of where I got it from?

E-bay is littered with cheap st HID kits, problem is the HID lamp has its light source at a different distance from the lense /reflector than the filament on an H7 causing problems with beam focus and consequent glare to oncoming traffic.
There is a Hella replacement kit available but not for forty quid.
Cue the my car passed its MOT with HID's fitted crew.

Quick search of PH reveals GTO3R/M400 require H7 bulbs.

A couple of old thread responses recommend hids4u as a supplier, I have no experience of them.

Just from my experience, I bought a set from hids4u and a ballast went wrong within 6 months, they did send me another out very quickly but that went wrong too so I gave up
The problem I found was that the high voltage leads are very short so the ballast gets spray from the wheel and it can't handle it
Hopefully it was just me being unlucky

The company is maxautos, they are also on eBay (maxautos2010) they sell all the replacement bulbs seperately but you may want to get a matching pair.

Last question (I hope) I think they definately look like the H7 lights and I'm in the process of contacting the supplier but the drop list mentions the following choices:
4300K
6000k
8000k
10000k
12000k
As it doesn't say anything on my bulb do you happen to know which one of these options I need to choose?

I bought the H7 6000k as the 6000k are white, the other end of the scale range from yellow to purple I believe?

Ahh I see. Well that's the one I'll go for then, mind you I better go back and check what colour the other side is just to be sure or actually I'll just order the pair in white.

Colour temperature does change over time, so if you want your headlights to look the same I'd change both bulbs at the same time. 6000k will give you a nice clean white light, anything above that will be increasing shades of blue with diminished vision. 4300k will be slightly more yellow - similar to conventional bulbs. FWIW I have a HIDS4U system which has been going for 5 yrs now with no issues. Never been flashed, passed every MoT.

Thanks Rob, I've just ordered the bulbs in 6000k. Looks like I'll have to unseal the other light unit side reluctantly so the bulbs both match.
If the bulb doesn't work I may have to get another ballast but even if it's a different make I'm guessing the information on the sticker on the ballast is all I need to get a replacement and that should be problem solved.

Who said changing a light bulb was easy? ha. Gotta love the excess silliconed light units on Nobles.
