Yep no problem watching , you can get passenger wrist bands as well , make sure you bring a helmet .

can anyone recommend a good lid ?

i have a motorcycle helmet but a bit clunky in a car

Whereas I use a Sparco full-face lid (also available from Demon Tweaks) although I got it from Grand Prix Racewear (who appear no longer to stock them).

Personal preference really whether open or closed face. I went for closed face as it offers more protection, although downside is slightly reduced visibility.
