Brighton speed trials

So who's going and where are we meeting. Last time I went I parked in the supermarket car park?

1pm - 1.50pm Lunch Break
2pm Timed Runs continue
6pm Finish

Probably going to go on the train so i can have a few pints!!!

Stephen fulker is No30 in his 400 and some BHP 2.5 Noble so his first run should be be between 11.45 and 12pm
, but don't hold me to it!!!

its a good day out if the sun is shining, and if it is don't forget sunscreen!!!

Best to get a pass for the speed trials,then you can walk around the cars n bars,around a tenner i think

Hi Martin, pratice starts at nine,so will be doing that fairly early.
Then proper run sometime late morning.

Just herd today that there was a big accident at the end of the day when a side car bike didn't stop and went into the barrier.

Unfortunatley the 38yr old lady died and the 60yr old driver is in critical condition in hospital.

Puts a bit of a damper on what was a great day.

We were walking back from town a bit past 6pm and wondered why people were peering over the balcony down onto Marine Drive long after the runs had finished. The bike, a three wheeler on which the "passenger" (the female) sits at the back for balance, didn't look badly damaged but offered no protection whatsoever to either occupant. I'm not speculating, just reporting on the aftermath, but it took place a fair way past the finish line at the point they start braking.

They had an air ambulance on the beach and the lot but there was no point. Not that my feelings matter a jot but it has shook me up especially as I think we may have noticed the girl earlier in the day. Only 38 too! RIP dear lady.
