Yes - quite daunting driving through the streets with loads of people around, must learn how to spin the wheels! The yellow BMW just ahead of us rear ended and wrote off a classical Porsche the next day, just driving out of a hotel.

The weather did get better and great event which I would do again.

The car was mobbed most of the time, not many people knew what it was. Good fun to see people looking at your car and ignoring ferrari's parked next door.

the rear ending bit is whats always put me off these a little tbh. I do like the idea but a load of people in fast cars with hangovers plus deadlines to meet always worried me a bit, maybe im old and boring now!

to, add, I was kindly invited on this and really wanted to go as had never done it but had a vmax so couldnt frown

For anyone thinking of doing it, the event was very well organised, we had Garda escort and closed roads into the main towns. On the second day we had two Garda bikes lead us for a long way maybe 60 - 80 miles closing junctions as they went, they were going at a fast but legal pace. Most of the driving was sensible but there were a few that were not. Not sure what happened with the BMW / Porsche crash it was at low speed but the porsche did not come out of it very well.
