Flat spots

Locked-up at Bedford yesterday. Not a big slide but managed to flat spot a relatively new set of S02's. noticeable at low speed, but not particularly at high speed. Most noticeable under braking, as one would expect given the front tyres had the load when sliding.

Any options other than a new set....

Hi mark , get them re balanced , should sort out the issues .

I have just took off my S02's fitted them 2 weeks ago in replacement for some 888's , could not believe how little grip they had :-((
Have put the 888's back on !!!!

Thanks Tux. Assume that a re-balance does not shave the tyre to make them uniform. Won't therefore cure the low speed bumping etc? Worried also about indirect shock damage from all of the constant vibration..

As you say, may be a good excuse to put on some 888s...

How much is a set nowadays?

Bush Tyres are very cheap 01775 722666 speak to Russ , a massive step forward in grip .
I've heard of slicks being skimmed I'm not sure they can do it with road Tyres though .
