Don't laugh too hard...

Can't seem to adjust the volume for the standard-fit 10-disk CD changer! Works for the front-loaded disk and radio, but the other CD's all play at the same (slightly too loud) volume and the remote control does nothing to adjust it!

Anyone else noticed this? What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

I had a faulty radio replaced by the dealers. When I got the car back it worked fine except that the external CD player was too loud to listen to even on the lowest volume setting. I think the problem was that they had connected the two wires the wrong way round into the back of the radio unit - they fixed it anyway. May be worth a try!

Sounds like the CD is plugged into MIC/EXT in rather than AUX in. What's the head unit model number?
