but not in my Noble!
In know its a Noble forum but I thought some of you might be interesed in this.
With my remapped/lightly modded M400 being plenty fast for my limited driving skills I'm not going to modify that any more, the previous owner of my car spent lots on sensible mods and upgrades so I havent had to do anything to it. However, I still have the modding bug so I've been treating myself to a few goodies for the RS4. Full Milltek valved resonated system with 100 cell sports cats, cold air feed, stage 3 MRC Tuning remap and the latest TTS Supercharger. Result 615ps and 614nm! I can hardly imagine how quick a 600bhp Noble must feel but this is as you'd expect pretty mental but with the addition of a screaming V8 which revs to 8200rpm the noise is truly epic. At least I should be able to keep up with a standard Noble in the wet now!

I don't have the vid, I'll have to try and get MRC to put it on youtube.

OlberJ; A LOT! I've not done it all at once though so it wasnt too painful, but like most modding when you total it all up its quite a lot of money.

Kenny; Thanks, it keeps me happy while the Nobles tucked away for the winter.

Hi Chris,

I had a roots type PES supercharger on the car for about a year, enjoyed it immensely and was quite happy with it, but when I heard that top Audi tuners MRC were working with TTS on developing a new supercharger I knew that it would be cracking piece of kit that I would have to get eventually! A friend of mine had the first supercharged RS4 in the country ( PES M90) then he got the upgraded PES M112 (same as was on my car) then the first TTS charger so I have been sort of following/learning from his early experiences.

The PES produced 524ps and 614nm but delivered the power in a totaly different way to the TTS where the delivery is so much smoother, making the car drive pretty much like it did before except now with huge grunt. Cooling is also so much better with the TTS and as you say, it looks great and not out out of place under the bonnet.

Remarkable cars, I was passenger in a similar car that had near 700 bhp last spring at Croft. I didn't believe him until he took me out in it.....

Pure savage straight line speed only Daddysumo's Millennium Falcon was quicker with all cars I have been in. 'Lightspeed' sprung to mind in both cars smile

TTS charger about 15k supplied, fitted and mapped. Other bits and bobs had been done previously like exhaust (2k) sports cats(1.5k) and cold air feed and a filter which all helps to spread the cost.
The PES provided a financial 'stepping stone' costing around half that and was easily sold for what I paid for it.
Fortunately my car came with ceramic brakes (6.5K) and uprated 'sport' suspension and the standard clutch is up to the job provided you're not doing drag strip starts so in theory I shouldn't have to spend any more on mods.

Shaun, I know you said a similar car but I doubt that it was a supercharged B7 RS4 as 620bhp is about as far as you can go unless you add nitrous. The B5 RS4's (the B7's predecessor) however has a 2.7l engine with twin turbos and can be tuned to 700+.... but they don't have the V8 noise. smile

Iain, your right that's why I said similar car wasn't sure of spec & was turbo'd not charged, incredible cars plus reckon I could get easy 20 boxes of carpet tiles in back & still do sub 4 secs to 60... yep love V8's
