Thanks Stuh, this article is by Tom Ford - is there another by Clarkson?
He doesn't seem to be a Noble aficionado does he (isn't he the one on Top Gear who wears cords and brogues!!!)?!
He says "the men who have ploghed their savingsinto a project that stands little chance of success" - he's talking about a a company that built a prototype (well, one man did!) of a new GT car in 7 months and have now taken 50 orders for it (I make that £3.75M in advance sales) - what's he on?! ;-(

I thought Clarkson kind of gives a new car aload of praise at first and then slags it off the next. Have you read the article in the Top Gear mag about the M400?
His Quote: 'Because I'm weak and mean. I'd worry about safety and reliability and, as a result, I wouldn't buy one'.
I thought he was a fan of the NOBLE?

From Fanny done good thread...
“I was on my line and the porsche didn’t go the right way to pass me; he just went into my left rear.
It punctured the tyre and moved the undertray. It was very bad driving by the porsche,” explained the aggrieved Belgian lady. The car made it back for repairs, but lost a lot of time; the porsche was out on the spot.
“That Noble must be made of concrete,” said David Jones, a comment that will no doubt amuse Martin Short. His brother Godfrey might well have paused for a fraction and passed the Noble into McLeans, three seconds later. It was a very hard hit, as shown by the damage to the 911: BV-R saw the Noble “launched two feet into the air, and at 45 degrees to the track.”

Whoever wrote the article gets as much respect from me as I give the slugs eating my Dahlia's. He should get the same treatment, as I give them. Do people actually pay to read articles like that. Clearly the author comes to the subject matter with a prejudice against it, a big one at that.
In the same article I read "it'd be the Noble every time" and "I wouldn't buy any of their products". Sorry but I cannot reconcile these two.
In the article I read "No street cred". Simply an incorrect statement. Any Noble owner will testify to the reaction you get in any and every town.
In the article I read "£56000 ... you could have anything" More rubbish I'm afraid. The stats at the bottom are my proof.
You then go on to say "the Noble is a better driving experience than a £56k Porsche". AHA. Surely this is the crux of the article. Noble better than Porsche. This must have been where you started the article, with a correct comment. But then somehow, you just 'lost it'. Presumably came back to the article days later to finish it long after you'd forgotten how good the M400 was.
Finally, perhaps you could explain why the project stands little chance of success. Would you not have said the same thing to Enzo Ferrari 5 years into his marque. Probably not. Billions of state funding saw to that I suppose.
I don't agree that you are a pathetic little worm.
You're just writing about the wrong industry. Goodness knows which one you should be in. Any offers?
