Brings back memories, used to race in 125 national and open years ago.
If you can find it, there used to be videos of the gearbox karts racing
on a street circuit on the Isle of Man. Good sensation of speed racing
between the houses.

That's the one. I have it on a "This is Karting" video. Also on this is a very young (8 or 10) Jenson Button
saying he wants to be a formula 1 driver when he is older.

I used to go to Buckmore when i was younger and loved karting.

How much fun would it be to commute to work every day with a road legal one? smile

Was at the British GP at Snetterton last year. Amazing how many teams in the paddock had a guy in a wheel chair as part of the crew. Not a coincidence.

the 250 karts are not liked by many race drivers - one crash can be fatal

incidentally Wayne Rainey took up 250 karts after he broke his spine ( racing 500cc 2 stroke bike ) he was very competitive and raced with a kart converted to use hand controls

I don't think our cage would hold up quite so well. Think only Sundance see's roads like that on a regular basis. biggrin
