Exhaust options

Hi guys looking to try and sort out an exhaust before the summer months, just due to mine looking a bit rusty and tatty, lets the car down a bit. In the process of cleaning it up for the summer. I may at some point be in the pursuit of reliable power so taking this into account also.
Have a local exhaust specialist (in scotland) who knows his stuff albeit not nobles.
Have the option of a second hand roush exhaust but I could prob go custom for half the price of the second hand 1.
I believe jetstream are now doing custom exhaust but they aren't that handy.
When going custom are there any specific things to note or include? Widths design etc.

When I bought my car it had a custom exhaust made and fitted by http://www.jimkingautotune.co.uk/ which might be local for you, it works fine (other than the original cats had blocked up)but the addition of flexi sections might help. PM me if you want some photos.
I've change my mind about Roush exhausts, they were made by Piper and sold by Roush, but both are unwilling to support them, having charged Noble owners a fairly heavy premium. They forgot to supply my cats and Roush revolve don't want to know and Piper want a minimum order quantity of seven sets at £750 each plus VAT.
When people's cats start to go this is going to turn into a nightmare, so anyone but Roush!!!

What ever you go for make sure it has flexi joints to protect the manifolds and repackable boxes !!! At the moment noise is a major issue and the roush in std for will not cut it , I use a Hayward and Scott system that was tested at Rockingham at 97db and recently after it was re packed past a test at Bedford it went through at 94 db !!!
The roush is a good system if you can get it modified to repackable boxes .

Thats not good to hear, not sure i will be suffering that load of bull, id be marching straight down there,no one takes my money then tells me to f off. Then i will also say when i had a problem with the tail pipes they were helpful .

Had all of this done by Dave in St helen's great job but cats are now not passing MOT testing. So be sure of quality cats!

cut the old cats out and fit some new ones with a 'v' clamp

Simon, do you mean BCS, I believe this is where Dave now works/part ownes, formaly owner of Urban-Racing who fitted my system and a few others on here. If I'm correct, he's a top bloke and worth a call. BGS make a nice system and also Leon at Allunox .

Another vote for Dave at BCS, amazing workmanship and alway has time to talk to you.
Took some convincing, but Dave was kind enough to make me an exhaust and ship it to me for self fitment. I did agree to send him my complete old system (minus the silencer), he could then jig the complete system and I believe he was able to offer it up to another car he was working on. There is so much adjustment with the system it was fairly easy to fit, most difficult part was trying not to get the exhaust wrap covered in grime! It also included the vital flexi joints.
He also provided the sealant to fit the exhaust, any clamps required, roll of heat proof matting, a box of Screws to replace all of the under tray ones and a Bosch 044.

h to to fit, one bit had to go back as the down pipe hit my AC (the bend wasn't sharp enough)Would recommend they do it for piece of mind.
