Just been to the new Porsche 997 - 911 launch here in Aberdeen tonight at the local Porsche dealer, with a friend of mine who has one on order. 9 Time out of 10, the suits who I spoke to tonight asked "well what do you drive then - 993 - 996?"

Proudly answered back " A Noble M12 3R". The wife advised it might not be a good idea to turn up in my Noble dress shirt in case of provocation.....

I must be too young but I think Porsche 911 is to gentlemanly for me. I think the M14 might just be in with a chance here.

Good luck Lee / Simon.....

Here in the states, the 997 C2S, equipped on average, costs about as much as an M400. Easy decision.

I'm off to the 997 launch at Silverstone Porsche tomorrow night. Gonna polish the Noble up and park it up in the middle of the car park!

The noble is very nice but the 997 has rear seats and is in a different league in terms of build quality and (for the next 12-18 months)depreciation.

Hey, you're right! Taking that one step further, the mighty Honda Odyssey has twice the seating of the 997, even better build quality and reliability, and even even lower depreciation.

Nah, not excitement....laughter maybe !!
Or maybe incontinence cos they're so old !!

They need to see the future is in plastic cars that smell of petrol, not wonderfully made and totally superb sports cruisers !!!!!

Honda Odyssey!
Its so big you could get lost in there. I reckon it'll be good as a Noble transporter..2 at a time!

Yes yes and he says it's the closest thing he can get to a Noble and it's not that close, but he needs the room.

Buying a porker is the safe option. [sarcastic on]What fun safe is.[sarcastic off]

I loose track of all these numbers. 'What's that?' 'It's a 9 something something probably, with maybe an S and an R in there...'

So Lee drives a Subaru Legacy?

Sometimes we all have to drive other mass produced bland mobiles just to remind ourselves how fantastic the Noble is.

I guess Lee is just doing his bit!
