Ok so got new wheels back to the garage and decided to hook up the trickle charger, and then found where the battery is located.

What have people done with this in the past? Fitted an extra set of battery connections somewhere where you can get to?

Welcome to the Nobility! Unless you want to remove the engine each time, you need to get a trickle charger installed behind the passenger foot-well cover (where fuses etc are located). Depending on where you you are located, Mole Valley do a very tidy and effective job.

You can use the ciggy lighter socket for that. I've left mine for 2 weeks (I have a tracker) and it's been fine. It's only gone flat when my MP3 player crashed and ran for 3 days....

First thing I did when I ordered the car from Peter Smith's was to get a trickle charger sourced and fitted.

All I have is the leads sticking out inside the passenger footwell. When I garage the car, I just hook up the leads and plug the charger into the wall.

Cheers Rob. Mole Valley is my local anyway.

Phil. Call me numnuts.......how do I use the ciggy lighter? My trickle charger has the usual battery connectors......is there a charger that plugs in to the ciggy lighter? I also have tracker fitted.

Just cut them off and wire to a lighter plug (from Maplins or alike). Note it's only good up to 10amps, but to be honest, I've never seen a normal charger, let alone a top-up type go over 5-6 amps. Like I said though, mine lasts 2 weeks between drives with no charging so I don't see it as much of an issue...unless you drive less.

And, welcome to the best club in the world. Noble ownership. Ok, ok, the best car club in the world...

Cheers

Phil

Directions appreciated.

If your trickle charger is an Optimate, Leven Technology (look under advertisers) sell a ciggie adapter, which has a plug. This means you can use your existing battery terminals for other cars and the lighter on your Noble. I've left mine for a couple of weeks with the Optimate on; and it starts no problems.

Thanks for showing me where it is.

No wonder I had never seen it...its on the passenger side..not the important side of the car!!
