Just seen the pic of Angry Merc's GT03R on his profile without the rear wing.

Does anyone else not have the wing on the car? I love the looks of the Noble but sometimes think the wing looks a bit.. well..Chav, especially as there seem to be loads of Max Power type cars which have the same style of wing on.

It's obviously there to give greater downforce at speed but just how essential is it for everyday driving?

A few guys in the South Wales Lotus club have Esprit Sport 350's which have a similar wing and are awesome cars but I cant help thinking the standard cars have nicer lines.

Any thoughts or comments?

I broke a bolt on my spoiler & so had to take it off for a while. Barely any difference except I could see better out the back !

I think that looks nicer than with the spoiler.

Could they not add a low spoiler to the rear clam like on the Elise 111s and sport models?

The rear already has an enormous lip on it...

Having said that I don't believe the Elise 111S spoiler was particularly effective.

I don't think they look "right" without the wing.

Hey - it's an "in your face car" with or without wing, so why be shy

True

It's just from some angles I think it spoils the lines of the car.

It does make it look far more agressive which can be a good thing but not if it helps encourage every little scrote in a Max Power mobile to have a go at you

I've never ever had that happen. Almost everyone takes one look and then just let's you go / overtake!

Absolutely, and/or passes you to get a gander at the front end and a thumbs-up! Yesterday, a coupe of kids sprinted 100 yards to catch up with me at traffic lights to do that!
