Could someone post what they are please; I just want to check the wheel nut torque settings on the M400 (I've had new tyres fitted recently).

IIRC 95 ft/lbs is the US converted spec.

I was surprised not to find this in the handbook for a car like M400, however after removing the wheels to clean and inspect properly I was left without this important information so phoned a dealer who could not tell me as it was Saturday. I phone Silver line in Warwick who told me 130lb/foot but I think I will check with the factory when they open to make sure.

Rear tyres only I hope. How many miles did you get out of them? Was it difficult to find the Motorsport version of the Corsas, and how much per tyre? Ta.

110Lb

Do not overtighten as there have been cases of wheels cracking because of this!

I have a M400 and got 2500 mile out of the tyres (2 days track) inc. midlands UK to spa and Germany Ring etc. plus my front pads were down to metal and had to change them. (so don’t forget spare pads when you go away to play)

Had the tyres changed for the wet journey back to the UK and they fitted Corsa’s so how do I tell if they are the right ones or not, because the car does feel somewhat different now?

2500 miles! I was still road legal after 10500 on my S03s (3R) including about 5 track days. Neither do I hang about particularly on track. Over the yrs I've found that if you limit to 10-15mins max per session with at least 30mins between outings, it's much kinder on tyres and pads (and car in gerneral). Sounds like you may have the wrong Corsas (especially if they 'feel' odd). Another thread somewhere where Micknell specified that the M400s use the Motorsport variation of the P-Zero Corsas , not the bog-standard rubbish that goes on Porches and Ferraris If you e-mail from his profile I'm sure he'll point you in the right direction.

To check if you have the "right" ones see this thread

You can only buy the right ones in our wheels sizes according to the info from Simon at the factory.

They can definitely last more than 2 track days, but it depends on the drivers technique

130 N/M is the metric..... that converts to 95.8 ft/lbs

Edited to add:
www.ktmzone.com/lore/article.php?id=057 is a good conversion utility.

Sorry

I didn’t make it clear. The tyres are still good for a dry track day or two, but I did not fancy the idea of Spa Belgium back to midlands UK in heavy rain with just 1.5mm tread.

Ta, this agrees with the figure the tyre fitter got from the local dealer.

I purchased a complete set for 1076 USD plus taxes (not had the bill for that bit yet). When I get the final definitive figure I'll add it to the appropriate thread and also will enquire about a "group purchase".

And yes (phew) they are exactly the right tyres

After 3600 miles (inc. 4 TD's) the fronts will do another TD or two but I've changed the rears which were down to the tread wear markers. I'll let you know after Silverstone next week if the fronts are still ok!

I think the Corsas on M400 are a MUCH softer rubber compared to the normal road tyres and are designed to get warmer and grip more. As such with the extra power and handling of the M400 I should expect them to ware faster. At a guess I would think about 3 to 7k inc TD and road use. If you’re getting 10k plus you’re not using the car to its ability!

No - the 10K was in a 3R with Bridgestone S03s. I don't expect anything like that from the much softer Corsas on the M400 (but hopefully more than 2.5K). If Chillidog can get a full set for just over a thousand bucks - count me in!
