My Noble is just about ready but they are having trouble tracking down an intermitent rattle behind the driver (US Spec car). Not clutch, trasmission, or accel/decel related.

And ideas or experiences to help.

Thanks.

I had just such a rattle and it turned out to be the rear clam, occasionally catching the just behind the rear window. A couple of felt washers and all was sorted.....

Check your seat! Wiggle around when sat in it - I've had two rattles from the mounting....

I recently had a rattle in the seat itself - there's two rectangular plastic trim pieces that sits inside the cutout for the harness in the upper seat (these are meant to be clipped in with a plastic pin) - one of these was squeaking so I lubricated both, inside where they meet the seat, with some furniture polish!

Interesting search for the noise. Finally we loaded it onto a chassis dyno (couldn't replicate on jack stands) so the drivetrain would run under load. Got out the stethoscope and tracked the noise to the transmission after all. One tear down, check and reassembly later the car was ready.

Thanks for all the ideas and suggestions.
