Can you explain why we need it?

It's for when you upgrade the fuel line. It is easier to have this part screw onto the new line rather than one crimped onto the line.

Is it worth including all the bits to upgrade the fuel line in a group buy. Also what is the reason to upgrade fuel line (I understand for the power boys but what about us mild tuners?)

Hi Bondy, i am going for big power, twin pump set up etc. this includes getting bigger fuel lines etc to supply enough fuel. so this new fitting is a replacement for the standard smaller one.

Over here in the States, I've seen a number of Nobles where the stock fuel lines are starting to get brittle and crack. Maybe it's something in the gasoline over here, or a different additive package, or higher engine bay temps, or the fuel line manufacturer was having a bad day, or the wrong material was used, or... Anyway, that's one reason why we upgrade the fuel lines. We've seen well over 500 wheel hp on our Dyno using the stock lines but with an updated pump (and wiring) and larger fuel injectors, so I don't really see the fuel lines as a limiting factor for power, unless you're shooting for really crazy numbers. But, it's probably a good idea to inspect your current lines for cracks periodically, and upgrade them as a maintenance item.

I'm still on stock fuel line and regulator with 600hp, but that's been for a while now and I'm starting to notice some weeping in the line through the braiding just after the twin pumps, I already have this fitting, just need to get my finger out and get a new hose and regulator.

Rossion never did make them. They are a standard part available over the counter at Autozone in the States. I can ask a friend I have over there if he can send some more over if you want?
