Getting very tempted
Discussion
Crazy as it may be, im getting very tempted to sell my Nob, and get one of these http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/m...
I have thought long and hard and decided to change my garage and bite the bullit and get one of these, means selling my Nob, and Merc 300sl 107, keeping my Caterham for the track and keeping the Audi for every day,and the Mclaren for best.
was considering te M600 but really want a convertable, Think I will have to drive one first make sure I like it? but so so tempted,
Thought I would run it by some folk here and get some opinions.
Suppose its a bit like my properties, soon as I finish I need something else to start. Feel very reluctant to sell my Nob as we have been through so much together, and I know I might regret it, and trust me, I aint ever going to find anything to compare as there isnt anything, and as Rossion completly let me down, I will now talk about it, as We spoke at lenghth about maybe building another Noble like car for Europe based on my spec using there chassis, nearly made the arrangments to travel to the factory and do a deal, but they never even replied after we made the arrangments, so even if they offered the deal now, which would of put them on the Europian map i would say kiss my derry, ill do it without you.
So it seems other than building what I want maybe the Mclaren is the way forward, any suggestions how ever crazy are welcome

That does seem crazy, seems like you literally have only just put the last nut and bolt together on the car and want to sell before really enjoying it.I have thought long and hard and decided to change my garage and bite the bullit and get one of these, means selling my Nob, and Merc 300sl 107, keeping my Caterham for the track and keeping the Audi for every day,and the Mclaren for best.

I know, just seem to get bored quick, and its took so long to get it as best as can be running huge power with reliability, Ive sort of started to lose interest as not had any use really in 4 years, and after using the Caterham, which is also silly fast but with the wind in ya face, its giving me the hots for something a little more refined and classy, still silly fast, but without a roof.Who were you in talks with at Rossion?

Really dont know? maybe just not been able to appreciate the Nob,as not really had the chance to experience or appreciate it, only managed 3 track days, and having been an experienced Karter, racing against the likes of Johny Herbert, Martin Heinze, and many others, many years ago of course, this was a good opportunity for me to get to learn some new tracks and tricks in a car that I can drive on the ragged edge, as I will use all and more of whatever Power is at foot, the trouble is I aint getting sny younger and the reflexes aint going to last forever, so the Caterham is going to be pretty hard to beat even by my Noble standards and I can use it all day long, Dont get me wrong for the times I did get a chance in the Noble on track, it was probably the closest I could get to a Kart and mastered it very quickly and loved it, I dont know maybe need some time in it?

the money you sell the noble for will hardly put a dent in buying that.... clearly the answer is to have both
Exactly what I was going to say. If you can afford to spend that kind of money then hold out for a few months and keep the Noble.
Could u not wait for the M600 drop top and then have a Noble Garage
Sundance, at the rate they depreciate, and the fact that you will have so little time to drive it, would it not be worth joining Ecurie 25 or similar for 12 month? You can havea bit of fun driving various exotica, keep teh Nob, and watch the Maclaren prices come back to you in the meanwhile..

Hi Andy, That maybe a good option, will have to check it out, thing is they normally allow no mileage, so touring will not be an option.mgbond said:

And when will that be? would be a grand idea but dont see it happening, unless they sell some cars. Also I don't agree with there pricing policy, to me most of the new super car companies have got it wrong, hence there sales figures are dismal, I don't agree with sell em high, and don't worry about volume or value.Could u not wait for the M600 drop top and then have a Noble Garage
You cant price a car with no pedigree at the same as one with ie Ferrari, Lambo, Mclarren.

The low volume cars should theoretically be more expensive, for instance Mclaren's business model has 4000 cars per year, the cars with so called pedigree are the ones who are milking it. sundance002 said:
No it wasn't, and I don't see the point of naming names, just very disappointed.
Sorry that wasnt my point!I was just going to point out that he no longer works there so that could have been possibly why talks broke down. But that was a stab in the dark and obviously I was wrong.

No idea, just a suggestion. You cant price a car with no pedigree at the same as one with ie Ferrari, Lambo, Mclarren.
Still think you should keep the Nob also.
