Front manifold - advice?
Discussion
Hi all
My own, very limited diagnosis, is that as my car smells slightly stronger (subjective) of petrol and I think i may be able to hear the front manifold blowing ever so slightly.
I have the stainless, upgraded rear one fitted and have the front one in my possession just haven't fitted it yet as it didn't need it a year ago when Matt did the front one.
How can I check to see if I am right or just paranoid?
Booked on a track day in a couple of weeks time and don't want anything to go pop. A mildly blowing manifold - would that be a problem?
Thanks
Lawrence

Difficult to check due to the location, but from cold, you need to get your hand down there and see if you can feel anything blowing, short of that, get it in somewhere on a ramp and get it checked? If it's blowing, the Turbo spool will be down on those 3 cylinders and performance will be off some as well.
Also, depending on if/where it's blowing, the hot gas coming out the fractures will just make it worse, the hot gasses could also end up melting or damaging other components it may come into contact with?
Mike.
