I'd imagine that'd be about the cost if you were upgrading a brand new box?

How much is a new box?

This is a good base that we could add to. We can't put it in noble parts as that's owners only. Maybe we would be allowed poetic licence and cut and paste it into a thread that is a sticky?

Maybe while doing their in depth research, Evo should have asked some other people as well as Plans.

Maybe £3500 is what they charge for a gearbox upgrade,

Not convinced I'd want anything they had been involved in as a sticky

I brought a second hand box for £200 and paid 1k inc Vat and postage for upgrade with the cooling mods etc

I have a box being done now, cost me £250 for the box and upgrade is costing about £1500

Gearbox man did it. Remember, it was 17.5% vat then and I also didn't need third gear set (I think that's what he often has to change) as my 42k mondeo box was in good condition according to him.

Have you used the standard Mondeo diff ?

My price includes about £250 for a new set of selector forks and synchro also. I'll be using the ATB diff from my current gearbox. I believe a new one form them would add around 750 to the price

exactly why i didnt buy it! i managed to buy a 6 speed in really good nick for £200 with the cables and gear stick etc.
