I'm looking to replace the heat shield under the ic box .I found ths from merlin motorsport but i'm not sure it's the stuff of choice . Any suggestions and what's the best way to fix it on .thx

Yes I thin this what I used as well.

You can buy a heat resistant glue spray that you spray on to both surfaces to give you adhesion.

can i use this heat shield from merlin to cover the back of the ic box or would it be too thick ? is it a good idea to cover the whole of the inside ?

is one layer of nimbus g2 enough for the underneath ? i presume u need glue ? is 615mm by 600mm enough for the job , thx

will the nimbus underneath the IC box clear the rear turbo ?

I used nimbus. Held in place by the self tappers that hold the intercooler box down

did u use the nimbus G11 ? it's 5mm thick so wondering if it clears the rear turbo as it looks quite tight under there

+2 and I used two sheets inbetween intercooler. Actually cut some away while at spa to help Neil's lad with a burning pipe issue he had

did you use the heavy duty nimbus G11 , does it clear the rear turbo ok ?

I used the good one yeah. I cut one the size of the bottom of box. A another a bit shorter. With cuts in and wrapped around turbo and down pipe. Then screw your box on three the nimbus

did u secure the nimbus first with rivets ?
