Hi guys, as title suggests, the small one coming off the top of the front turbo going to the engine head.
Anyone know what it's purpose, mines loosing its braiding near the connection above the turbo.

I've got a Trackday booked in this Friday & just noticed it, cars just come back from noble agent service too.
Is it something that needs dealing with immediately before I track it.

Turbo oil feed, if the fitting is still tight it should be ok but will need changing

Is it flexing up and down ? This can break the braiding , if you take it into Purtek ltd they will make you up a new one .

It should be OK as long as there are no signs of it leaking oil.
I've recently replaced both of mine with Teflon lined braided hose as I wanted some in-line filters to the Turbos. So I've got a pair of useable spares if anyone needs one?

Thanks guys for the replies.
The hose is quite well fixed & only showing signs of the wire disintegrating next to the connection on the turbo. I guess due the heat.
It's not leaking at all but will get it replaced soon as.

On further inspection I've discovered some of the pipe heat insulation not fixed & a cable clip broken & the cable dangling near the turbo.
Shouldn't these points have been highlited on the service, bit miffed tbh.!

Uh, I've seen a few cars where an oil line failed like this and sprayed hot oil onto the exhaust system, causing an engine fire. I'd suggest getting a replacement hose made and changing it out.
