HELP with alarm

Hi,

picked-up my car (3R) from the factory this morning after the first year service and I have a problem with the alarm...

Each time I switch it on, it blips once as usual but than blips (different sound) 3 more times. After 30s it goes off like hell !!!

I tried many things including entering the override code but it wront switch back to normal use....

Anybody had that before ??

Please help asap as I have a meeting this afternoon.... and cannot go back to factory until 2 weeks time....

Check your door switches are working - interior light will go off if closed properly. Then check the switches for the front and rear clam shells are working.

Hep... just what I was checking and the rear clam-shell switch is broken... I am not impressed but there you go, I disconnected it now it it looks like the alarm is back to normal.

My thoughts exactly! This happened to me last month - the passenger door light switch wasn't pushing in enough so the alarm thought the door was open (hence the three warning blips when you try to arm). My door needed some slight repositioning to correct.

If this IS your problem, as a temporary fix, suggest you find something sticky to stick to the door where the pin hits it - I used two pads of Velco!

Disconnecting did the trick.
