Looking at covering my steering wheel in alcantana, but has anyone gone this route:
http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=2...
It seems a bit expensive and I'm not sure now it would look (air bag) but I'm tempted...............

So is it a M600 wheel, if so would it not have an airbag??

No it's just the cover for the fixing and horn operation

Find the suede/alcantana a nicer feel. We have one on the Funcup car and after driving my mates GT2 I prefer the feel, it also causes less sweat than the standard wheel. I like the way Hollowpockets has gone, for me alcantana has a great quality about it, Jetstreams seats were also on my smile list.......

But £ for £ the most cost effective weight saving you can get, of course other than replacing the driver with a little bloke

Standard wheel was over 2KG heavier than the 350gram reverie item, also agree the standard wheel is bad for sweaty palms, alcantara has a good grip and feel to it.

I've managed to loose 3kg over the past 4 weeks too wink never realised something as tasty as pizza could have such terrible weight gain effects. Lol
