I have been asked in the M12 3R is EU Type Approved?
If it is approved I have been asked for a copy of the "Type Plate"?
My car might be going to Denmark so this approval is apparently required.
Any thoughts?
Cheers
Nobs, being a small run, were SVA'd (single vehicle approval). AFAIK nothing for the EU )have you seen the (lack of) protection inside the doors?!). A couple of owners are in Scandinavia and have gone through this so they may be along later to advise.I have been asked in the M12 3R is EU Type Approved?

What does EU approval actually mean?
You have to give someone in EU land loads of money and wait a long time.On the side you must also build things that have certain features. As Rob said side protection, but also certain lights, mirrors, ABS (now anyway), protection for pedestrians you try to mow down etc etc. Oh and emissions.
Also shows why M12's in the states were shipped as a rolling chassis with out engines/gearbox etc so they could be nailed together as a kit car...
