Hi, picked up my 3R on Friday and I must admit I'm blown away! I done a prom with my mate in his 355 gts (the same model I sold last week!) and the reaction has completely gobsmacked me. There's a lot of Noble love out there and I must say it's completely took me by surprise, having owned a 355 for the last 3 years I was wondering what public reaction I would get, it's been amazing- obviously you guys already know this, but I just had to give vent! NOBLE, fantastic!!!! John.

Not had a negative reaction in 7 years. Only driven it once in the last 2 weeks and got involved in a conversation paying for petrol and then on the way back got asked to blip the throttle in a traffic Jam!

I always try avoiding the throttle blip. Though my car sounds nice, it really doesn't make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up when revved. It sounds great under load though!

Went for a pair of new eagle F1s on Saturday morning and the guys at the tyre shop came out with their phones to take some piccies, then I stood talking to two other people about the car until the job was complete!

Petrol stations are often where people start conversing with me asking what it is etc.

Never a negative word said.

At track days where people have brought reasonably ordinary kit, I constantly get asked for rides.

Popular machines. Just try driving down the kings road to see how people react vs a flash 'see them all the time' Ferrari etc!!

Me too generally.
However I also got asked Friday to do the same in my new car and it made the hairs on my own neck stand up!

Having driven the V8F and V6F,the V6 has the most horribly artificial exhaust note I've heard, I actually questioned whether it was "enhanced" the second I drove off, and I knew I wasn't going to buy. The V8F is much better, much more real and much more of an animal (as you know in a good way).As a concession......I'll give it third place in the "real world cars" sounding stakes behind a Challenge Stradale ..............and a Granturismo S McShift! wink

Challenge Stradale is my favourite Ferrari - I have to own one at some point. Almost been depreciation proof for the last 5 years too!

I would just go back and forth through the Hindhead tunnel every weekend. All weekend.

I drove the V6S last night when the dealer threw me the keys, and dare I suggest I actually liked it. I thought there was hints of a F430 in it.

Apparently the exhaust is designed by the same people that do the race cans for Ducati.

Challenge Stradale is good I grant you, but Porsche Carrera is better.

That's just it, it howled, but it was if it was from a Playstation recording.
Also offering my apologies for thread hijack!

Have to admit, driving through the tunnel / bridge under the M3 junction at Winchester last weekend in a DBS volante will take some beating for noise.

I don't see or hear a single bit about that car that isn't perfection. (rear seats and small boot aside)

I've come from a 5 ltr V8 Chimaera with sleeved exhaust.
I do miss the noise, but don't want to go any louder as I can now enjoy an hour's drive and leave the car without tinnitus.
Also track days should be no problem.

I was asked to blip the throttle on Sunday by a bunch of lads - shirts off playing footie in the park I was driving through. Really embarrassed by the turbo-y whine it produced. paperbag
However last year in the Chimaera, driving through Midhurst past a pub on the way home from Goodwood FoS. Bunch of lads shout "Rev-it"! I duly oblige, only for them to shout "bet he's got a small dick" rolleyes

I come from a 355 to the Noble. On my 355 I had the challenge back pipes fitted (no back box at all)- Jesus that was loud! Setting off 3 car alarms in one day was my record! Don't get me wrong I loved it, but I've now ticked the box for V8 sounds and I'm loving the "singing" of the Noble, John.
