GTO / 3 centre nuts
Discussion
Hi all
The "red" centre nuts on the GTO and GTO-3 alloys it turns out are NOT made by TSW. Or at least the thread is not standard.
At decent expense I ordered and got delivered a set of 4 shiny aluminium centre nuts to replace my red / pink ones. But the thread is not even nearly the same. Which is annoying.
Anyone know if I could get these re-threaded or another way of changing the colour of those centre nuts?
Anyone do Carbon fibre ones yet?

Oven cleaner to remove the anodising, which leaves them dark as it oxidises them and then viakal to remove the oxidation which turns them white.
A bit of a buff up and they will be bare aluminium and shiny silver.
There are plenty of examples of different methods on the internet - just google for them.
You need to leave them in the cleaner for quite a while and periodically scrub with a scouring pad but it's not difficult.
It took me a few days from start to finish to do mine but virtually all of that was just sitting time with the odd 5 minute cleaning thrown in and they came up very well.

Have you got any photos of how yours ended up?
Cheers
